Ilian Grigorov – Co-founder and Managing Director of City Clinic
He is an executive with 14 years of experience in private equity and M&A advisory. Ilian has led Bedminster Capital (formerly Soros Investment Capital) office in Bulgaria for 8 years. He has experience in investing in various industries including cable, media and healthcare. Ilian has held directorship positions in Eurocom Cable, Digital City Media, Golden Pages, United Medical and United Health Insurance. From 2009 until leaving Bedminster, Ilian was Co-CEO of United Medical, the first private integrated healthcare provider in Bulgaria. Prior to Bedminster, Ilian worked for KPMG in Bulgaria BDO in the Netherlands. Ilian graduated from University of National and World Economy with a Master in Economics and Finance and University of Amsterdam with Master in International Finance. Currently, he is completing an Executive Master in Healthcare Administration at the University of Minnesota.
Andrey Markov – Co-founder and Managing Director of City Clinic
He is a healthcare administrator with more than 30 years of experience. Andrey’s most recent position was a Co-CEO and a Chairman of United Medical Bulgaria, the first private integrated healthcare provider in Bulgaria. Prior to that for 13 years he had been a Director of Finance and Administration of St. Ekaterina Hospital in Sofia and of National Center for Cardio-vascular Diseases for 6 years. St. Ekaterina Hospital is the fourth largest hospital in Bulgaria and the largest cardiology and cardiac surgery hospital in the country. It is considered to be the most advanced and modern facility in Bulgaria. Andrey has a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Management from University of National and World Economy, Sofia and a College degree in Medicine. He has specialized in Michigan State University, Institute of International Health and has various other specializations in healthcare administration and management.
Assoc. Prof. Ivo Petrov, MD, PhD, FESC, FACC – Medical Director of City Clinic
Dr. Petrov has numerous medical publications and has participated in numerous medical seminars and congresses on the national and international level.

The special scientific interests of Dr. Petrov are in the field of optimization of primary PCI in AMI, thoracic and abdominal aorta endografting, carotid artery stenting in challenging cases.
Mila Kitova, RN – Chief Nurse of City Clinic
She graduated from the Medical College at the Medical University Sofia in 1998, as a specialist in health care. In 2010, acquired the academic degree Bachelor of " Health Care Management " at the Faculty of Public Health at the Medical University - Sofia. In the period 1998 - 2004 she has worked in the II-nd Cardiology department at Emergency General Hospital "Pirogov". Between 2004 - 2006 worked as registered nurse at the Department of Invasive Cardiology in National Cardiology Hospital, Sofia, and in 2006 she worked in the Department of Invasive Cardiology in Military Hospital Sofia. From 2006 to 2012 she was head nurse of Invasive Cardiology sector at Cardiology Department in "Tokuda Hospital Sofia ". Since the end of 2012 she was appointed as Head nurse in City Clinic Sofia. In 2013 participated in practical training for the organization of the health care according JCI standards in the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, USA. She has attended postgraduate qualifications for operating nurse from Military Hospital Sofia and training for interventional cardiology nurse at Tokushukai Medical Corporation in Japan. She is fluent in English.
